Updates and corrections,

At this point we are still sticking with the plans for the picnic this Sunday, but we are going to keep a close eye on the weather. If it is raining in the morning, I will skip the longer ride to get to Athens. If the weather has not cleared by the 1:00 PM meet time I may still drive over in my car/van at that time. We will try to keep you all posted if the weather gets bad. If the weather turns out to be clear enough to ride, we will.

Correction on the newsletter that just went out. It has James leading the ride on the 30th, but the calendar has it correctly posted as Jesse Nelson leading that ride.

The Fall trip to Cookeville TN is coming up soon and I have picked out a hotel, thanks to the help and input from a few others. I have talked to them and they did not feel that I would need to block out any rooms, as long as we all get our reservation in soon. They said that they did not know of anything else going on that weekend yet. The hotel is the Days Inn, on Walnut Ave, in Cookeville. You can call them directly at 931-528-1511 or you can call the Days Inn Reservation line at 1-800-329-7466. They do offer many types of discounts and you will need to ask for the one that works for you. The hotel is right next to many restaurants and has many room type choices to pick from (at this time).

I did not reserve any rooms, other than mine, and they did not offer any type of group discounts. They do have many ground level rooms if you want to park your bike close by.

Officers meeting will be next Thursday and remember that we will be having nomination of club officers at the September meeting on the next Thursday - 09/04/08.
